Home made tortillas here?

Yes they make their own. They serve different kinds of tortillas depending on what your eating. Not all the meals come with their homemade tortillas. But they are amazing!!!

We love this place.
We've done carry out and dining in!
The food is always delicious and consistent! Our go to is the quesobirria and it's out of this world!
The drinks are delicious too!

Walking in, place seems authentic and ladies there are friendly. Plenty of seating for private booth to large party.
The salsa was 5 and they even allow you to purchase but kinda on the pricier side, but worth it if you are not local.
We ordered burritos (Mexicana & Fiesta) 3 and they were ok... meaning that they were bland, but large portions which you will take home half of it or you can share. I saw there were fries on the menu, a socal feature, so if I am in the area again (yes for the salsa) I will try that and share.
Note - they do have Mexican specialties (ie horchata) drinks that looked to be made rather than your fountain style I have seen in some places.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 21, 2024Updated review22 check-ins
Today was our first time trying the new breakfast menu. We ordered the tamales with eggs, rice & beans - and a bloody Maria (tequila). I think the kitchen is still getting the hang of preparing breakfast items. My meal tasted very good, as always, but my "over easy" eggs were well done - runny eggs are so much better topping a tamale! My hubby's tamale came with only one egg instead of two, but his was soft-cooked. Chips weren't served until we asked, they are important for scooping up the beans & rice. Next time we will know to ask for chips and to make sure they know we want the eggs to have a runny yolk. We will be back!

After recently dining at another place that's supposedly the "best" in Olympia, it made me really appreciate Mi Pueblo.
The have two large dining rooms that are decked out in the traditional decor and colors of Mexico. The service has always been great for us and we seldom have to wait long to be seated and served. All the servers and the owners are so friendly and make me feel appreciated for dining.
The food is so good and plentiful! You also get an endless supply of fresh house-made tortilla chips & salsa. If you want quesabirria tacos, this is your place. They are two die for - the shells are dipped in consommé and crisped up on the grill, topped with a nice serving a melty Mexican cheese and juicy junks of beef birria (I call it a Mexican pot roast because it is comfort food to me!). You get three tacos and a side of consommé for dipping and sipping. If this was the only entree they served, it would keep me coming back! They also make a huge, impressive Molcajete for two for $33 - it comes filled with creamy cheese dip mixed with beans & chorizo, and piled with steak, chicken, shrimp, Italian sausage, grilled jalapeños, green onions, and slices of queso fresco. It's huge, delicious and fun to eat. People can't help but stare when this monster is delivered to your table. Other favorites: the chile rellenos (entrees come with 2), chile verde, deep-fried tacos dorados (not the fish), fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas (many varieties), etc. They also made a delicious whole fried fish talapia that is worth the extra wait! Mi Pueblo has a full bar with beer, wine, cocktails - featuring great margaritas that range from about 12 oz to 32 oz monster margaritas to share! One of those 32 oz margaritas and the Jalapeño cheese dip nachos loaded with shredded beef or chicken, beans, green onions, olives, sour cream and guacamole and 2-3 people can eat until your stuffed!Mar 31, 2023Previous reviewI have to update my review because I have now dined at many more Mexican restaurants in the Oly area and this is by far the best full-service restaurant that serves alcohol. The service is always friendly & efficient and the food & drinks are really good. We like the traditional Mexican combos, the fajitas, margaritas and specialties like their huge Molcajete, a really unique dish loaded with steak, shrimp, chicken, jalapeños and chorizo queso, that generously feeds two. They have many specialties and mighty dinner specials. The chili verde is another favorite - a savory stew of green chiles, tomatillos and tender chunks of pork. We have never had a meal here that wasn't really delicious!

The food was delicious as always. I ordered the Molcajete this time, had a Michelada, and both were delicious. The service was great. The waitress was very polite and attentive. The ambiance was cool and calm on a Saturday afternoon. I am so stuffed. The Michelada is a meal itself. I'm very satisfied. This place hasn't failed me yet.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jul 2, 2023Previous reviewEverything we ordered was delicious. My husband got the molcajete. It was a delicious mixture of asada steak, chicken breast, sausage, shrimp, white cheese chorizo mixture (queso fundido), cactus, pinto beans and queso fresco all served in a heated mortor stone bowl. It was a meal to serve two. Your choice of corn or flour tortillas, fried jalapeños and beans and rice all on the side.
I ordered the alambres plate. It was a meat mixture of asada, onions, red bell peppers, and tomatoes smothered by a melted blanket of Monterey Jack cheese that comes all together on a plate with beans and rice. Of course your choice of corn or flour tortillas.
The star of the show was the "Mi Pueblo michelada", it was rimmed with chamoy and tajin along with 4 shrimps perfectly cooked, slices of cucumber and celery sticks. The michelada mix was the perfect mix of tangy tart deliciousness, there was an upside down 32oz bottle Corona familiar beer inside the huge goblet.
Their hospitality and service was great. They were kind and attentive.
The ambiance of the restaurant a Sunday afternoon was filled with a Sunday-funday family meal good old feeling. You feel welcome and comfortable here. - Memitoh Z.Schofield Barracks, HI5795Mar 9, 20241 check-in
